Novatek discovers Nyakhartinskoye gas field in Yamal District

MOSCOW, Nov 19 (PRIME) -- Russian independent gas producer Novatek has discovered the Nyakhartinskoye gas field in the northernmost Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District which is important to replenish its pipe gas reserves, the company said in a statement on Monday.

“(Novatek’s) wholly owned subsidiary Novatek-Yurkharovneftegas, upon testing of the exploration well PO-1, received commercial flows of natural gas from the Lower Cretaceous sediments at the Nyakhartinsky license area with a gas condensate mixture well flow rate of more than 300,000 cubic meters per day,” it said.

“Natural gas and gas condensate reserves of the newly discovered Nyakhartinskoye field will be determined after completion of the well test with the reserves appraisal materials submitted to the Russian State Reserves commission for final confirmation in 2019.”
